What matters when choosing a dash cam
- Resolution that reads plates — 4K front helps most at night and at distance; rear cameras can be 1080p.
- Parking mode power — true parking surveillance needs a hardwire kit or battery pack — check what is in the box.
- Night capture — HDR/STARVIS-type sensors matter more than resolution after dark.
- Storage and app — 128GB+ support and a usable app decide whether footage is actually retrievable.

Care
Format the microSD card monthly from the app (prevents corruption), and re-stick the mount in summer heat if it creeps.

★★★★★ 5/5Excellent Dashcam for an Excellent Price!"I was a little hesitant to buy this as it was pretty inexpensive compared to other brands with comparable features. That being said, this dashcam works great! The video is clear and 4K for the front cam and 1080p for the rear as a…"

The gripes (from the same reviews)
★★★★☆ 4/5Good replacement for my old dash cam"Bought it to replace my old dash cam and having using for one month, no big issues found. The vedio quality was good and clear. Longest recording time I had was about 5 hours and seemed working well. iPhone app for 70ami is very easy to setup, and connected. You can do all functions of cam with the…"

Where it sits in the lineup
Within the 70mai dash-cam family, this is the entry point at $149.99. Siblings for comparison: at $189.99. Same construction across sizes — the price moves with the footprint, so the real decision is your bed size, not the model.

Frequently asked questions
Is 4K worth it on a dash cam?
For license plates at distance and night detail, yes on the front camera; rear 1080p is usually enough.
Do dash cams record when parked?
Only with power: hardwire kits (fuse tap) or dash batteries enable parking mode — the cigarette lighter dies with ignition.
Are the ratings on this page real?
Yes — every rating and review count is the product's public Amazon rating record, and every page states the date we last verified it (October 2026). When ratings move materially, we re-check and update the page.
